Delivery is free within New Zealand. We only delivery within New Zealand.
95% of our orders are dispatched the next business day once payment has been approved.
Transit time will vary usually between 2 - 5 working days.
Deliveries are made to physical street addresses. PO Box deliveries are not allowed. We strongly urge our customers to double check the delivery details entered before submitting any orders. Should you submit a wrong address, please contact us immediately so our reps have a chance to correct it. If an order is delivered to a wrong address as supplied by the customer, neither General Store nor the courier will be able to assist you as delivery was made as per the delivery instructions supplied at the time of purchase.
My delivery has not arrived
Contact our reps if you have not received your delivery after 5 working days. General Store is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from late delivery.
Lost in Transit
If an item is confirmed lost in transit by the courier, a replacement product will be dispatched to you.
Multiple items purchased in one order
Orders that contain more than one item may be dispatched in separate deliveries.
Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein, you, the customer, agree that late delivery does not constitute a failure of our agreement, and does not entitle you to cancel your order.
General Store will not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from items lost, stolen or damaged after delivery has occurred.
When you are ready to finalise payment on your purchase, you have a couple of payment options.
Purchasing online with your credit card is the simplest and most convenient way of shopping. Simply fill in your details and we will bill the purchase to your account. All transactions on General Store are securely processed via DPS Payment Solutions and your credit card details are encrypted. Credit card information is not stored on General Store.
General Store accepts VISA and MasterCard only.
Don't have a credit card? That's okay. Call our reps and let them know which item(s) you are interested in. We will email an invoice or order confirmation to you for payment with our bank details. Once full payment is received we will dispatch your item(s) to you. Note: Only full payments are allowed. We do not accept part payments on our invoices.
At the end of the payment process a confirmation screen will show your receipt number. This page can be saved and or printed for your reference. You will also receive an email confirmation with the receipt number as soon as your order is processed.
Returns and Exchanges
For any returns or exchanges send an email to email@example.com stating your full name, address, order number and the item(s) you wish to return and reason why. Our reps will issue you a Return Authorisation Number (RAN).
Wrong product or change of mind
The item(s) must be unused and unopened in all supplied packaging.
All items are sold with protection under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and any applicable product warranties from suppliers or manufacturers. Our reps will advise you on the course of action required and a resolution. Whether a product will be repaired or replaced is at the discretion of the supplier or manufacturer.

Disclosure to third parties - We will only disclose your personal information to the following third parties: vendor or warehouse of item/s purchased, the courier company to fulfil delivery of purchased item/s through General Store, DPS Payment Express for credit card processing to bill you for goods purchased. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personal information for any other purposes. These third parties are prohibited from using your personal information for any other purpose. We may also use or disclose your personal information to provide pre- or post-sale support or if you have any issues with the quality of item/s purchased or our services.

By purchasing goods through the Generalstore.co.nz and or signing up to our Newsletter, you consent to General Store using your personal information for the purposes of direct marketing, unless you have requested to opt-out of any direct marketing communications.
General Store Marketing Emails, including Newsletters
You will be included in our email mailing list (which include special offers, competitions, new product alerts and other communications related to our services or the products we offer) if you subscribe to our newsletters or if you make a purchase from us or if you have requested that we notify you of an items expected arrival. You will not be included in any of our mailing lists if you communicate with us for any other reasons. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe option, which will always be clear and easy to locate. You may unsubscribe from our mailing list whenever you wish and you will be immediately removed as per your request. You also have the option of emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and a representative will unsubscribe you if you provide them with the email address that is subscribed. If you choose to unsubscribe from our mailing list we will not be able to provide you information on special offers and promotions, or products or services which we think would be of interest to you.
